Monitoring
of Breeder Seed
The
breeder seed is very important in the seed production programme. The
breeder seed is produced under the direct supervision of the concerned
breeder. The crop of such seed is monitored in the field by a monitoring
team constituted by ICAR and consisting of Director Seed Certification,
nominee of NSC and concerned breeder. During the year under report breeder
seed has been monitored at different research stations. The area monitored
for breeder seed during the year, 2004-2005 is given in the following
Table.
