The main objective of the H.P. State Seed & Organic Produce Certification Agency is to maintain, provide and make available to the public high quality seeds of notified varieties and propagating materials and to ensure their genetic identity, known pedigree, high varietal purity and good seedling value.

Right to Information Act,2005

The State Govt. has implemented the Right To Information Act, 2005 to provide the information to the public under this Act. Under this Act any type of information pertaining to respective Departments, can be obtained by any person, The person who intends to take desired information should apply on the prescribed format and deposit the prescribed fees. Accordingly, HPSSOPCA has also implemented this Act and appointed Public Information officer (PIO) and Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) at State level and Zonal level / field level as per provisions of the said Act. The Notification in this regard was issued on dated 10.07.2009 (Annexure-7).

During financial year, 2008-09, under Right To Information Act,2005 this Agency did not receive any application.

In pursuance to the notification published in “The Gazette of India” Extraordinary Part II Section I, “The Right to Information Act,2005” No.22 of 2005 dated 15th June,2005, I hereby publish the records and other activities of the H.P. State Seed & Organic Produce Certification Agency, under the provision of Chapter II, section 4, Sub section (1) (b) as under (updated up to 30.11.2010):
